We got excited when we saw our surnames in the list of Landmark Makati bridal registry.

Bert immediately told me "Bilis picture-an mo na!" at take note... malapit na kami bumaba ng escalator nun ha. Pressure ba?

August Update

Less than 3 months to go... and this really is panic time!!!
Three significant events happened in the past month:

1. Zosa-Welan meeting
2. Samar getaway w/ Bert, my bro Carlo and Bert's Mama - I met all of his uncles, aunties, cousins
3. Completion of our pre-cana seminar, family planning seminar, application to marriage license.

We've been very busy --- consolidating all suppliers, updating, and discussing about financials!!! Tapos istorbo pa ang work sa office (hehehe... joke! Bert transferred pala to Accenture na!). So it's only now that I find the time to write here.

Anyways, here are the updates:

Finally! Nag-meet na rin ang Zosa and Welan Family!

'Twas held last Aug 18 at our place in San Mateo.. attended by Mama Thelma (mom ni bert), Tita Angel (sis of Mama Thelma), Tita Marinieta (family friend), Mark & Heherson (bros of bert). On our side, of course, Mom and Dad plus Carlo. Tin wasn't able to attend because she went to work.

July Updates

At last... I found the time to update our wedding blog... we (bert and i) both underwent major changes in our work --- Bert had a change of client in his work, he's already in night shift and I had a change in employment, still in advertising and just a block away from my previous company.

Anyways.. below are our July updates:

1. The wedding rings are already with us, engraved and fully paid
2. Bought barongs for my Dad, my brother and Bert's 3 brothers from Lumban
3. Had our prenups from Imagination of John Mateos Ong
4. Bert's mama already knows!!!
5. From pink & brown, we might change to pink, green and ____ (secret muna!)

So there... 5 months until d'day! We can't wait!

I'm back from my vacation.. and so as our wedding planning!

Cystic Stop

Wedding preps are on hold as of the moment. No fear... December 6 pa rin!

A birthday lunch, 2 bottles of beer and an announcement

He claimed to be not nervous but after eating for over an hour, I'm beginning to accept that he would not have the courage to "announce".

We celebrated my birthday yesterday at Gerry's Grill Trinoma. It's also there that we plan to tell my family our wedding on the 6th of December this year. Akala ko, we'll wait for another occasion to annouce it pero hayyyyyyy salamat... after one bottle of strong ice and one bottle of san mig light, finally Bert had the courage to tell my family...

Bert: Oo nga pala, invited kayo sa December 6 (ewwww what a pick up line! hahaha love u Bert!)
Mom: Saan sa birthday mo ba?
Cat: Ma hindi yun birthday ni Bert noh...
Bert: Basta invited kayo as the parents of the Bride
Mom: (smiling widely, with an expression of HUH?!?)
Cat (to Bert): (laughing shyly, parang kolehiyala...) Sabihin mo na kasi.
Bert: Ikakasal na kami sa December 6.
Mom: (smiling widely, blinking uncontrollably) Ah talaga?
Dad: (taranta) O ang tagal naman nun!
Cat: O sige sa March 6 na lang.
Dad: (nag-iisip, ina-absorb pa ata...) Akala ko di na kayo ikakasal!
Mom: (smiling widely, blinking uncontrollably)
Cat: Hahahahahaha!
Bert: (smiling)
Dad: (nakapag-isip na, pero alam mong natataranta) San ba kayo?
Cat: Sa San Mateo
Dad: Sa resort ba?
Bert: Pwede.
Dad: Sino caterer?
Cat: Di pa namin napaplano.
Mom: (smiling widely, blinking uncontrollably)
Dad: (tatango-tango)
Mom (to Tin, galing sa CR): Ikakasal na ate mo.
Tin: Ah tlaga? Kelan?
Mom: Sa Dec 6 daw.
Tin: Ahhhhh (tatango tango)
Cat: Lika na alis na tayo, ikot tayo mall.
Kami lahat: (smiling, ayaw pa umalis ng table)
Cat: Lika na...
Kami lahat: (smiling, ayaw pa umalis ng table)

Finally.... nagyayaan na rin... So there, it's official and sabi nga ni Bert for formality sake yun ginawa namin. Next stop... Bert's family.

Sarap to the bones

We visited one of our prospective reception venues. Nag-pencil book na kami, got their package costings, and saw their 2 choices for venues. Hmmm, mukhang na-impress c Bert sa set-up nila. So, let's see...

Also, we went to the Bridal fair in Megamall last Jan 26. So now, we have an additional prospect to our photo/video suppliers. What do you think of Redfox?

Panic

11 months to go and now, I'm in panic...

11 months and 3 days

And guess what? We've outlined our tentative guest list last Dec 27 over seafood pizza and carbonara at Don Henrico's.... magandang simula ba? 'Til the next update.
